So, you've bolstered local food businesses by ordering from homegrown establishments. Good on you. Besides giving back to the community, how can you support Singaporean creatives such as musicians? Simply just spin a playlist.
Apple Music has announced a spotlight on Singapore music with a takeover that will allow users to discover and support local artists as they #streamlocal. From now till April 22nd, 5pm SGT, listeners can access to exclusive curated playlists via the Apple Music Browse tab. Expect selections from Singapore artists and creators, such as Gentle Bones and Charlie Lim, Annette Lee, and Fariz Jabba.
By streaming them on the background while you work from home, their productions will be heard. Because with every play, comes royalties.
"I feel like music is one of the things we tend to take for granted because it seems so readily available and something that comes naturally to us, but at the same time, I don’t know if we can get by without it. It lifts the spirit and provides a sense of therapy that very few things in this world can, and it has the power to bring people together. So all the more we’re going to need music in times like these,” Lim expressed.
P.S.: Apple Music now has a new web interface that allows Singapore subscribers to stream music directly from a browser and all playlists will still be accessible after this takeover on the Apple Music Browse tab page.
