At a time of heightened uncertainty, American brand Coach has been focusing on what matters most: family. Its most recently released autumn/winter 2020 campaign features Coach ambassadors Jennifer Lopez and Michael B. Jordan together with their respective families, capturing the spirit of togetherness and timelessness. Those attributes seem set to be a recurring theme for the season to come, and perhaps, beyond.
In collaboration with photographer Juergen Teller, Coach is scheduled to unveil its spring/summer 2021 collection virtually. The brand will tap on members of its 'Coach Family'—ambassadors and friends of the brand—to wear the collection that's said to represent values that are especially important now, such as environmental responsibility and the importance of inclusivity and community. The former is encapsulated in 'Coach Forever', a design concept that creative director Stuart Vevers and his design team are committed to, that entails the use of naturally dyed leathers, bags made with recycled materials, as well as incorporating new, archival and vintage pieces, all with the intention of creating products that last.
It has been seven years since Vevers took on the role of creative director at Coach. And with this approach for spring/summer 2021, we're poised to see pieces seen throughout his tenure—including the most recent autumn/winter 2020 collection—all reworked into a whole new collection.
