Last week, we featured weish of local indie electronic duo .gif (pronounced as "dot jif") on our 'Dawn to Dusk' music playlist. And now it's fellow bandmate, din, turn to be in the spotlight. Din (short for Nurudin Sadali) is the masterful man behind the decks and provides production magic to the recorded tracks. The duo tackles various music genres and developed a sound that identifies who .gif is aurally—tucked among dark beats, deft lyricism and immersive vocals.
The duo recently moved on to pursuing music full-time and is in the process of writing and recording new material. These songs will finally see the light of day as weish and din struggle to juggle their music endeavours with their demanding day jobs. Both of them are working on long-awaited solo releases, each due this year, along with .gif's upcoming album. Definitely music to our ears.
A first for the 'Dawn to Dusk' music playlist, din omits 'dawn' and replaced it with the wee hours (a night owl, I guess). Those who have to burn the midnight oil, this one is for you.
