Negroni week just passed and you're itching to learn how to make one of your own. You've tried several inspired versions, been to a handful of bars, but there's something about doing it yourself. Here, we have one of menswear's most prominent names presenting a decadent twist from their own restaurant in New York. If you haven't quite guessed it, the cocktail is named after the iconic film Armani famously outfitted, American Gigolo. Who knows? It might also get you a step closer to becoming Richard Gere.
INGREDIENTS
1½ oz. Campari
1½ oz. sweet vermouth
⅔ oz. Cynar
⅓ oz. Frangelico
3 drops chocolate bitters
DIRECTIONS
1. Stir all the ingredients together with ice in a mixing glass.
2. Strain into an Old Fashioned glass over one large ice cube.
3. Garnish with chocolate shavings.
