The UA HOVR Phantom 2 received upgrades on its predecessor’s core properties—cushioning, fit and feel—and embeds Bluetooth technology within its soles to pair with UA’s training app MapMyRun.

No charging is required for the Bluetooth chip inside the Phantom 2 as it is optimised to outlive the shoe and is not replaceable. The shoes' sensor is fully embedded and secured in a leak-proof casing. Thus it is not susceptible to damage from running in the rain or through puddles.
