Contributing photographer Caterina Gili presents: 'Vento del Sud' (The Wind from the South)':
Vento del Sud is the title I gave to this project. It means "The Wind from the South". It is a story of liberation. It suggests the possibility of getting out from a narrative that the main actors in the society where we live, want to show like the only one possible. Vento del Sud speaks about the infinite perspectives of conceiving reality, based on different experiences, cultures, religions. You can feel like a painting and seeing the reality like a painting itself, an illusion, you could change the perspective and try to see the subject from his reflection. Another option would be to point a strong light at it and check all the details of its body. At the end it could be that the reality itself is totally elusive and when you try to fix it you get just a blurred subject that wants to run away from any kind of definition.
