Florence's biannual menswear tradeshow, Pitti Uomo, made a return for the spring/summer 2022 season. The 100th edition included the menswear debut of guest designer Thebe Magugu as well as a host of other men's fashion workshops and presentations.
Pitti Uomo is known for its 'Pitti Peacocks'—the term that has gained prominence and refers to the group of menswear enthusiasts dressing in their best versions of tailoring, hoping to be captured by street style photographers. While that suited-up aesthetic has changed over the years, it's still pretty much what to expect from the street style shots there.
While the 100th edition was significant in many ways (one being the official return since the pandemic), it's still relatively a quiet affair. International presence was definitely reduced and that just meant that there were less to see on the streets. But those who turned up for the three-day event still managed to put their best style feet forward.
