"Why don’t you have a drink?", asked a concerned guest. One of the necessary qualities of a man at his best is to be a good host. Thus, we make sure everyone is having a good time; it's always others before ourselves.
After taking over a commercial building and turning it into Esquire Shophouse last year, we took it to another level this year with Esquire Neighbourhood—hosting 35 activations over 12 locations. And there's no better way to kick off an event than with a party!
Held at Kilo Kitchen, guests were encouraged to make new connections all in the spirit of fostering community. Converse, connect and create. Indeed, the very motto of Esquire Singapore. Tipple glasses were never empty thanks to the folks from Martell, Lillet, and Havana Club with their masterfully shaken cocktails. Also, brew lovers had the trifecta of Perrier-Jouët champagne, Erdinger beer and Strongbow ciders. So there's no excuse to say there wasn’t a liquor of choice.
In addition, the adept Kilo Kitchen culinary team served up crowd-pleasing canapés such as Wasabi Tuna Tartare, Grilled Baby Corn and Lemon Tart. Personal favourites? The Ebiko Pasta and Wagyu Beef Cheek.
Kicking the party into gear, Theodora and YAØ performed tracks from their latest EP curated by Umami Records; both budding homegrown singers proving that they have the ability to hypnotise a crowd with their honest sounds.
