Colours? For spring? Groundbreaking. Yet, truth be told, how many of us would actually douse ourselves in a colour that's besides a shade of blue? This spring/summer season kicks it up a notch with colour being used in as many different treatments as possible—in vibrant prints, intriguing textures, and bold colour-blocking techniques. This is Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat in 2019.
Reimagining some of the most colourful pieces of the season, we took them to an otherworldly context. The Dreamscape explores clashing Loewe's patchwork coordinates with Valentino's feather-adorned sneakers, Virgil Abloh's spectacularly colourful debut for Louis Vuitton, as well as Miuccia Prada's key print of the season. If there's a time to embrace colour in all its fashionable forms, spring/summer 2019 is it.
