Everywhere you look there is a celebrity: Samuel L Jackson is taking selfies with Asian journalists in the courtyard; at the doorway, Richard Madden is being protected by a suite of bodyguards (the irony isn’t lost on him, I’m sure); and past him, happily enjoying a drink in the garden, is Alexander Skarsgård surrounded by a flock of admiring women.
We’re at the last show for Milan Fashion Week Men’s: Giorgio Armani. And, like several brands this season trying to shake things up, it’s a new location for spring/summer 2020—the courtyard of the Giorgio Armani Spa.
Did Mr Armani continue to parade his signature unstructured blue blazers? Was there something fashion-forward in the collection? What were the Hollywood celebrities like? Find out by listening to our audio review below.

Designer: Giorgio Armani
Show venue: Courtyard of the Giorgio Armani Spa.
10-word show review: Classic Armani marked by mandarin collars, kinetic prints and waistcoats.
Favourite look: For the traditionalist, Mr Armani proposed a sea of mandarin-collared shirts, jackets and gilets available in an array of cool tones that included his iconic navys, slate greys, as well as shots of bright crimson. For the more fashion-forward, there were kinetic geometric prints slathered on knits and relaxed trousers. But we liked the easy, breezy elegance of that all-white ensemble in look 65 with its double-breasted moto-style jacket worn over a V-neck top and generously cut pleated trousers that were all crafted from the same fresh linen.
Favourite accessory: Had to be those flat-top and translucent acetate sunglasses—especially the ones cast in a warm sunset hue—that lent both warmth and edge to an otherwise dapper outing.
