For an e-commerce platform that stocks more than 450 brands, creating its very own brand might have seemed like an odd thing to do. But the Mr Porter aesthetic has been so strongly developed and recognised that Mr P. is unmistakably, well, Mr Porter. The direction of Mr P. (and in essence, the product curation at Mr Porter) has never been to be fashion-forward or trend-driven. The designs are accessible and sit somewhere between Acne Studios and Sandro—clean and simple designs but elevated with quality materials, yet not extravagantly priced.
Proving that the Mr P. is a menswear force in itself, the brand has just launched its very first footwear collection together with its September offerings. In true Mr Porter design ethos—easy pieces, smart details and enduring style—the range of footwear can be seamlessly incorporated into your existing wardrobe. The eight staple, classic pieces that will be made available year round, include a pair of classic loafers, Derby shoes and white leather sneakers. Seven seasonal styles launched as part of the debut, are lace-up boots, a pair of desert boots in suede, as well as a pair of exquisite shearling-lined walking boots.
And just before you go looking through the Mr Porter website for socks to go with your new kicks, Mr P. has got that covered too. Launching alongside the new footwear collection is a selection of socks. There are the cotton, everyday staples in black, white and navy, as well as the heavier gauge styles for winter.
The new Mr P. collection is now available exclusively on Mr Porter.
