It's been slightly over 10 years since Mr Porter was first established and has quickly became one of the go-to online destinations for all things men's fashion and lifestyle. While its beginnings were rooted in more sartorial and often traditional menswear—a conscious branding leitmotif that's prevalent in all of its branded communications—Mr Porter has slowly opened up to include more contemporary stylings.
The gentlemanly offerings by brands the likes of Mackintosh, Loro Piana, and Paul Smith, now sit in the same space as streetwear-leaning brands such as Acne Studios, A-COLD-WALL*, and Undercover. One would easily be able to spot a pair of signature Tod's loafers as they would a collaborative pair of sneakers by Sacai and Nike. Yet at the same time, the common thread running through all of Mr Porter's offerings is that they're bound to be indispensable pieces in one's wardrobe.
The platform is cementing a greater commitment to streetwear with its latest on-site marketplace. Super Mart is a curation of 29 international brands spanning more than 330 products across ready-to-wear, accessories, lifestyle, and gifting. 12 of the brands part of Super Mart are new to Mr Porter—including Better Gift Shop, Martine Ali, Hype Rugs, Friends with Animals, and more—while some of the rest offer pieces that are exclusive only to the platform.
Just how exclusive, you ask? For example, British brand Burned Out (known for its collectible vintage band merch and slogan tees) are making only 15 pieces of founder Tom Hunt's original band T-shirts available on Super Mart. These one-of-a-kind tees are available in only one size and can only be purchased by Mr Porter customers based in the UK and Middle East.
For the rest of us, there are still a host of other brands and products to discover on Super Mart. And if you're already a Mr Porter devotee, they serve to introduce you to a whole new side to your style.
