There will never be a day collaborations don't exist in fashion. It's a pretty bold statement to make but one heavily based on validated science and research that will surely never come back to haunt us. Or until it does, just look at the Saint Laurent x B&O. Or #GentleFendi. Heck, another swimwear collab CDLP x Grand Hotel Tremezzo. The list goes on.
In this venture, Virgil Abloh puts the Off-White identity on French label Vilebrequin. Two styles feature the familiar arrow logo in black and white, and the three printed styles come in acid yellow, floral and signature monochrome stripes. Together with the elasticated waistband and zippered back pocket, each piece carries co-branded tags.
Seeing that swimwear brand has its founding history in Saint-Tropez back in the '80s, it is more than fitting to have a bold, modern design highlight its perfectly tailored yet casual charm. Way to effortlessly appeal, we say. We may not live in a quaint seaside town, but it is summer all year long here, so what are these swim shorts if not the best way to celebrate the art of living in the sun?
The collaboration swimwear is available in all Off-WhiteTM retail and select Vilebrequin stores.
