If luxury fashion is an investment, Givenchy has got it in the bag; quite literally. The house's new JAW hybrid bag is priced at a quite reasonable SGD2,550, which is on par with its other range of bags and accessories. But unlike most of Givenchy's other bags, you're not restricted to just one style of carry with the JAW hybrid bag.
The beauty and handy feature(s) of the JAW hybrid bag is in its construction. Inspired by scuba diving gear (which explains the rather odd shape), the bag is mostly made out of water-resistant canvas and is designed with a Velcro closure which is then reinforced with a clip buckle. An additional zippered compartment is located at the bottom to separate the contents of the bag. The pièce de résistance is in the ability to carry the JAW hybrid bag in four different ways.

Carry it from the top with the attached top handle like you would any tote. Or use the side handle to carry it like a briefcase. Attach the removable and adjustable straps to free your hands, and use the JAW hybrid bag as either a crossbody bag or a backpack. How nifty!
For SGD2,5550, the large JAW hybrid bag is a rather justifiable purchase because of its smart design alone. But if you're looking for other ways to spend that amount of money, here are our suggestions of other fashion items you can use in more ways than one.
Two zipped tablet holders in glitter by Saint Laurent (SGD900 each)
Saint Laurent categorises this as a tablet holder. But don't let that sparkly, glitter goodness go to waste; use this as your evening clutch, just to add that hint of pizzaz.
Four Panda charms by Loewe (SGD590 each)
It's cute but also pretty practical. Store your loose change and other random small knick-knacks (like wrapped candy, because you never know when you need something to snack on), and leave it attached to the zipper of your bag. Or simply use this to dress up your bag.
Five 'Le Gadjo' wallets by Jacquemus (approximately SGD470 via SSENSE)
The 'Le Gadjo' wallet is essentially a wallet-lanyard hybrid. It's handy to keep in your work bag and bring out for lunch, so you won't ever lose your wallet again. Or use this when you hit the clubs. What else would you need for a night of potential debauchery, right?
Six wool and cotton jacquard blankets by Pendleton (approximately SGD390 via MATCHESFASHION.com)
These are not just to live up to that Instagram-worthy living room interior. Measuring at 182cm x 1137cm, this blanket is big enough to drape around the upper half of your body for a super fa-shun protection against the cold air on your autumn vacation. The styles of draping are only limited to your imagination.
Seven reversible belts by Coach (SGD325)
Aside from the obvious fact that the belt is reversible, a belt is no longer restricted to holding your pants up. Cinch your waist with one, over every outerwear so you don't look like a sack of shapeless lump. Just please, don't wear one around your neck.
