The Screen Actors Guild Awards looked a bit different this year. Like the rest of the award shows this season, the format had to be tweaked in light of the ongoing pandemic. While award shows like the Grammys and Golden Globes took on a hybrid approach of both physical and virtual elements, the 27th SAG Awards was wholly virtual. In fact, the entire one-hour event was pre-recorded. Winners were announced a few days before the telecast, with acceptance speeches also taped beforehand.
That also meant that there was no actual red carpet. But that didn't stop nominees and presenters from showing off their style chops. We're even going as far as saying that this year's SAG Awards was arguably the most fashionable one we seen thus far, and even more so on the menswear front.
The Crown's Josh O'Connor continued his winning streak of stylish sartorial updates with a brown Loewe ensemble, while Gucci-favourite Jared Leto channelled the Joker in a lavender look. The cast of Bridgerton too pulled out their sartorial best in Louis Vuitton and Brunello Cucinelli. Then there's Daniel Levy who saw the opportunity to 'show up' in two equally outstanding looks courtesy of The Row as well as a winning combination of Dries Van Noten and JW Anderson.
