Stuck in a style rut? Yeah, that happens. Just like any relationship (let's face it, we all have a relationship with fashion, as well as anything else that's part of our lives), years of being comfortable and working with the tried-and-tested can often lead to a state of inertia; a style that's as exciting as your daily chicken breast and broccoli intake.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with sticking to a signature look, of course. As they always say: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". But with there being an almost limitless supply of fashion inspiration (and beautiful clothes) out there, staying fixed on what you've always worked with, seems like a waste.
Change is constant, after all. We're not saying that you should take on a whole new style identity every season; that's what a fashion victim does. The idea is to incorporate newer style inflections to your existing style, without it having to be dramatically different. But even if it does turn out to be a whole new look, why not?
Remember what it felt like to be a teenager—that inclination to be experimental and individual—and channel that into finding a new style identity. The results may just surprise you.
