It's been a while since we've heard from Sucker Punch Productions. Since their last game(s)—the Infamous series—in 2014, the game company retreated to the drawing board to work on a new IP. Fast-forward several years, when in 2017, the company revealed their next project to be Ghost of Tsushima.
A far cry from their previous work, Ghost is an action-adventure stealth game set in Feudal Japan, 13th Century. You play as Jin Sakai, who is one of the few survivors of a Mongol attack. In a bid for revenge, Jin has to decide if he wants to honour the traditional way of the samurai or adapt a more unorthodox fighting style.
Sony dropped a story trailer to announce the release date for Ghost (26th June) and they have also open pre-orders for the game. There are two versions: the Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition. Along with the game, each itineration comes with its own set of incentives. The Standard Edition's bonus has selected music from the game and an avatar and dynamic theme for your PlayStation account. The Deluxe Edition is… another kettle of fish.
Not only do you get the Standard Edition bonuses, you also get a cloth map, a war banner, a sakai mask, furoshiki (wrapping paper), an art book, just to name a few.
Ghost of Tsushima retail at SGD79.90 (Standard Edition) or at SGD97.90 (Deluxe Edition) and will be released on 26th June 2020. This will be a PlayStation exclusive. Pre-orders are now open.
