Italian fashion house Gucci is readying its next off-schedule release. Dubbed 'Gucci Aria', the collection is a follow-up to Gucci Ouverture, which signalled the house's new season-less approach to fashion and a collection that is now beginning to be released in Gucci boutiques.
As always, Gucci has been keeping things relatively quiet about its upcoming collection. There have been speculations that a collaboration between Gucci and Balenciaga—a brand that's also owned by Italian luxury group Kering—could be part of the reveal. Neither brands (quite understandably) have commented on the authenticity of the rumours. But if that were indeed to happen, the collaboration could very well be one of fashion's biggest of 2021.
Gucci is also celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The collection could also perhaps include a plethora of exclusives and mini capsule collections to mark the occasion. But the only way to find out for sure is to wait and see what creative director Alessandro Michele has up his sleeves.
