When it comes to innovating suits, we have seen designers push the envelope for form—reworking and subverting the traditional silhouette of the suit. But what about pushing the boundaries in terms of functionality? That is where BOSS comes in.
As part of their ever-growing tailoring line, BOSS launches The Washable Suit; the first jacket and pants from the German luxury giant that is machine-washable. Melding both innovations in construction and fabric development, the unlined jacket features a relaxed shoulder line with a soft waistband, increasing its durability and comfort, while the newly developed virgin wool fabric is able to withstand pilling after multiple washes.
It makes sense that BOSS taps local Olympic gold medalist and our June/July 2018 cover star, Joesph Schooling to front the campaign. Schooling embodies the ethos of The Washable Suit, a modern garment for the man on the go that allows you to conquer both sea and land. This adds another achievement in Schooling's list of firsts in fashion—from being the first Singaporean to front a global BOSS campaign to a capsule collection in collaboration with the brand.
