It's already sending memes down the socials, but we're not the only ones skeptical about the fanfare. In yet another longstanding hip-hop spat that recently reignited with Pusha T's 'Infrared' dissing the Canadian rapper, we saw the swift response by the latter via 'Duppy Freestyle' before we even knew what was going on.
Which then led Pusha T to provoke Drake to follow through with the lyrics "Tell ’Ye we gotta invoice coming to you / Considering that we just sold another 20 for you", and finally culminating to the ultimate display of pettiness of the Canadian rapper actually doing it.
And all of it falls within the nice lapse between Kingpush’s DAYTONA release last Thursday and Champagnepapi’s upcoming SCORPION album.
How can we be convinced that it's not all a well-calculated step? We already know Drake to be a clever business man from his near USD1 million giveaway spree for his God's Plan music video earlier this year. An ingenious marketing campaign if we've ever seen one.
We can only speculate, but hey, if it's a promotional stint, we're definitely not against the creativity.
