Released last Halloween, jaye's music video for "TOMORROW" has the dreadlocked singer in clown makeup punching a guy in a rabbit suit and crooning to an earworm of a tune. It has since garnered 1.2 million views.
The song came about from the guilt of abandoning his parents when jaye (or Jaye Foo) and his wife moved out of their place in exchange for their autonomy. Adding to the remorse is his many encounters with suicidal ideation and the drinking that arose from it. jaye has since been in a healthier mental state and pledges to donate his merch proceeds to the Samaritans of Singapore.
Accompanying the re-release on Halloween is a free video game of the same name. Created by jaye, this independent thriller has all the elements of horror: shadows, a killer clown, music that cues when you can shit yourself; all these while you rescue your rabbit in an underground train station. (I've watched a video of an Alpha Beta Gamer gameplay of the video game and it was scary.)
