If you happen to be in Tokyo this weekend, you're in luck. Kendrick Lamar, aka Pulitzer Kenny due to his win of 18 Pulitzer Prizes in Music for his album "DAMN.," will perform at the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '18. Besides bringing what would definitely be a memorable set, he will also collab with Japanese designer, UNDERCOVER and Nike for a T-shirt collaboration at The Damn Pop-Up Store.
ナイキとTDEの限定ポップアップショップ
“THE DAMN POP UP SHOP TOKYO”
7/27と28に期間限定でNIKE LAB MA5にオープン。
ナイキ コルテッツ ケニー III 等を発売!— Nike Japan (@nikejapan) July 24, 2018
While the musical inclination of UNDERCOVER's Jun Takahashi will always lean towards punk rock (dude even went as far as to create an imaginary record label that produces imaginary merch for (mostly) imaginary bands), this team-up with Lamar wouldn't be the first time he drew inspiration from the Hip-Hop realm. UNDERCOVER has previously collaborated with Supreme and Public Enemy for a capsule collection. Located at NikeLab MA5, the pop-up will run 27-28 July and will feature more from the collaboration like the release of the Kendrick Lamar X Nike Cortez 3.
In the words of the legendary poet, Pulitzer Kenny: "My left stroke just went viral," we're pretty sure this collection will too.
The collaboration will be available at NikeLab MA5, 5-12-24 Minamiaoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan.
