This Christmas, as you're making plans to spend quality time with friends and family, KI NO BI has kickstarted a Christmas pop up for ardent fans of gin that should end up at the top of your to-do list. Running till 1 January 2023, the event will be held at cocktail bar, Last Word, where four specially curated KI NO BI cocktails will be available exclusively at the venue (from S$26 onwards).
The cherry on top, is of course, the limited edition KI NO BI Edition G—making its first ever appearance on the little red dot. Made in a dry style aged in oak barrels sourced from the Champagne region’s Argonne Forest and previously used to mature Henri Giraud’s finest Champagnes, KI NO BI Edition G is well ahead of the pack. Only 120 bottles will be available in Singapore including limited quantities for purchase at the pop up event. Expect to unravel warm buttery oak and wood spice aromas, with hints of vanilla and burnt toffee with each sip. A full and chewy finish, beautifully balanced between oak, caramel and tannin seals the deal.

Circling back on the 4 exclusive KI NO BI cocktails—named Sencha, Winter Brew, Alpine Whites and Jolly Good Time—each cocktail delivers a myriad of tasting notes that would suit even the most discerning connoisseur. If you're a huge fan of tea as well, we might recommend the Sencha for its delicate tea flavour that can be easily masked by strong flavours. If you're seeking something more refreshing for the evening, the Winter Brew works perfectly as a refreshing Japanese take on the New York Sour with fresh yuzu peels infused into KI NO BI gin. It might be a little late, but if you'd like to give the Negroni a try, Alpine Whites would do the trick with notes of alpine herbs in the cocktail. Finally, for the fan of deep and rich flavours (especially chocolate), the Jolly Good Time would bring back memories of sitting by the fireplace with a tray of delectable Christmas desserts.
If you're up for upgrading your knowledge in gin, or in the art of cocktail mixing, you're in luck. In conjunction with the pop up experience, KI NO BI is also organising a series of guest shifts, gin tastings and cocktail masterclasses led by distinguished bartenders and mixologists throughout the pop up event. In case you were wondering, we're talking big players like KI NO BI Global Brand Ambassador Marcy Sakuma, Amanda Wan Winchester, Kelvin Wong, Shawn Chong, Alson Tian and Josh.
The KI NO BI x Last Word Christmas pop up event runs till 1 January 2023, at 8 Purvis St #02-01 Singapore 188587. Find out more about the event and the masterclasses here.
