Eating green takes effort. It takes dedication. If only there was a support group, like an event where like-minded people, who dig conscious living, gather over food, drinks and music. Hmmm. 🤔
After last year's green-themed fest, restaurant Kilo Camp collaborates with EarthFest Singapore to put out a one-day affair Green Day Out, a festival promoting conscious living. Located by the waters of the Kallang riverside, Green Day Out features all things eco-leaning: there will be a special vegan menu just for the event, along with eco-friendly vendors and workshops that teach you to recycle your juice cartons into reusable pouches or concocting your own all-natural scent. (10% of the purchase proceeds go to Centre For A Responsible Future, a charity that advocates sustainability in Singapore.
Y'know what would be even more awesome though? The actual band, Green Day, headlining this but when pitted against melting icecaps, climbing temperature, encroaching extinction of many species, that request isn't high on the list of priorities.
Green Day Out is held today at 66 Kampong Bugis #01-01 and runs from 2pm to 10pm; with the market ending at 7pm.
