Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga is a loving homage to the international singing competition that Will Ferrell watches. While the film stars Ferrell and Rachel McAdams as Eurovision contestants representing Iceland, in real life, Daði Freyr was the country's representative for Eurovision Song Contest 2020 before COVID turned everything to shit.
But Daði Freyr is keeping busy. Touted as a hot favourite to win Eurovision Song Contest 2020, Daði Freyr has put together a full UK headline tour next year and is on the lineup for Iceland Airwaves 2020. The intrepid musician has also covered "Volcano Man", one of the songs that Ferrel and McAdams' sang in the movie.
But what about the evergreen classic from the film, "Jaja Ding Dong"? When is Daði Freyr gonna cover that?
Well, thanks to the Internet, you're finally getting what you deserve.
It's catchy, no?
Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga might dog Daði Freyr to the end of days but we're glad he is taking it all in good humour.
And if you're feeling a little adventurous, may we introduce you to 10-goddamn-hours of "Jaja Ding Dong", you psychopaths?
Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga is still out on Netflix.
