Finally, the weekend is here. And how better to unwind after a hectic week at the office than with a few drinks amongst mates? Well, there's the perfect excuse to do just so this weekend with National Margarita Day taking place tomorrow. And while it might not be a legitimate public holiday or day of religious significance, it is no joke to any true margarita worshiper. So for good cause, we’ve complied a list of the best margarita recipes for you to enjoy this weekend. Cheers.
Classic lime margarita

INGREDIENTS
½ part triple sec liqueur
½ part lime juice
1 lime wedge
Salt
Cubed ice
DIRECTIONS
- Chill your glass
- Put lots of ice and all of the ingredients into a shaker, then shake hard for about 30 seconds
- Run a lime wedge around the outside of the rim of your glass before rolling the rim in salt
- Double strain the mix into the glass
White peach margarita

INGREDIENTS
3 white peaches, unpeeled
3 tablespoons of Patron Silver
1 tablespoon of Triple sec
Juice of 1 lemon
1 heaped tablespoon of honey
Mint sprigs and blossoms for garnish
DIRECTIONS
- Chop two of the white peaches. Slice the remaining peach into wedges for garnish and set aside
- Add chopped peaches, tequila, Triple sec, lemon juice, honey, and blend until perfectly smooth
- Fill two glasses with ice. Pour your peachy margarita mix over the top and stir well
- Garnish with mint and peach wedges
Spicy jalapeno margarita

INGREDIENTS
Salt and lime wedges
Ice
3 tablespoons of tequila
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed orange juice
1 1/2 teaspoons light agave nectar
1/2 jalapeno pepper
DIRECTIONS
- Rim the glass
- Fill a cocktail shaker with additional ice
- Add tequila, lime juice, orange juice, agave, and jalapeno slices
- Tightly close and shake vigorously for 30 seconds
- Strain into the rimmed glass
- Garnish with lime wedges and additional jalapeno slices
Frozen pineapple and dragon fruit margarita

INGREDIENTS
1 cup pineapple
2 cups ice
240 ml of frozen dragon fruit
180 ml frozen pineapple
1 cup tequila
1/2 cup orange liqueur
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
Salt or sugar to rim glasses
Pineapple wedges, dragon fruit, and lime
DIRECTIONS
- Add pineapple juice, ice, dragon fruit, and frozen pineapple to blender
- Pulse a few times to start the blending process
- Add tequila, orange liqueur, and fresh lime juice to the blender and process until smooth
- Rim glasses with sugar or salt and garnish with fresh pineapple, dragon fruit, and lime wedges
Spicy Cucumber Mint Margarita

1/2 cup cucumber
2 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons lime juice
6 mint leaves
4 tablespoons of tequila
1 tablespoon orange liqueur
2 dashes hot sauce
6 ice cubes

- Blend cucumber, sugar, lime juice, mint, tequila, orange liqueur and Tabasco

Watermelon margarita
