Samsung may have a smartphone with four rear-camera lenses but Nokia now takes lead with five. HMD Global announced the release of three entry- and mid-level devices and its flagship, the Nokia 9 PureView: the world's first smartphone with a ZEISS Optics five rear-camera system.
But do you really need these many lenses to take a photo? Here's what the Nokia 9 PureView do. When you take a picture, the sensors (two colour and three monochrome) simultaneously grab said images and combine them into a 12MP photo that's rich with depth and vibrancy. Photos are also captured in uncompressed RAW DNG format, which you can edit on your phone with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. We don't know if more (lenses) is the merrier but this should pique the interest of photography enthusiasts and casual consumers alike.
We've nothing on a Singapore price but the word is that the Nokia 9 PureViews are currently shipping worldwide.
