Japanese fashion brand Onitsuka Tiger has always been known to combine fashion with sports, and heritage with innovation through its collections. This summer, it will be launching the Tiger Gallery™, an art gallery project that supports a diverse range of contemporary artists and creates valuable discourse about art, innovation, and style—all at the Onitsuka Tiger Regent Street flagship store.
Held regularly at the flagship store space, the brand hopes to feature works by talented contemporary artists from around the world. Yuki Terase of Art Intelligence Global (AIG) has been invited as the artist curator to help Onitsuka Tiger better realise their vision to be a venue for artists to exhibit their work to address issues they face, providing full support for the artists and the transmission of art and craftsmanship.

The Japanese brand will not only furnish exhibition space, but also strongly support the activities of participating artists by giving them various opportunities, including designing the store windows facing Regent Street for maximum exposure of their work. This will not only create chances for people to casually experience art, but also allow Onitsuka Tiger to bring wellness through the power of art to enrich people's hearts and minds, and revitalise the community.
The first exhibition in the Tiger Gallery™ project, featuring the work of Uganda-based artist Godwin Champs Namuyimba, will be held from August 4 to September 28, 2022.
