With Halloween done and dusted, holiday buffs wasted no time in gearing up for Christmas. Of course, the Yuletide playlist has been going on all day, err day since November started. Besides getting into the mood with merry tunes, food is another important motivator too.
Oxwell & Co is one of the go-to culinary establishments who has since established itself as the home of Singapore's most iconic Christmas roast. But with its physical location closure earlier this year, does it mean this delectable feast goes into history too? Thankfully, the Oxwell & Co found a temporary residence at hospitality and members' club Straits Clan.
Named Oxwell & Clan, this six-week pop-up concept sees both brands collaborate to offer quality festive spreads during this Christmas season. Customers can expect family classics and modern favourites that are undoubtedly celebratory-worthy. In addition, Oxwell & Clan realised the Christmas spirit and partnering with Food Bank SG to provide ‘One for One Meals’ for every meal purchased to people in need within the local community.
What's on the irresistible festive menu
This festive spread certainly spells Christmas in bold. Seasonal techniques and ingredients used results in tasty dishes such as Turkey Roulade with celery, chestnuts, mushrooms, cranberry sauce and the Crackled Roast Pork Belly with mustard sauce. All mains are served with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and traditional gravy while side dishes like brandy roasted carrots, charred Brussel sprouts with bacon and baked cauliflower cheese rounds up the feast.
Open your appetites with toothsome Salt & Pepper Shrimp which everyone will have at least a mouthful. Balance this with the fresh Heirloom tomato salad and Starter Lab's sourdough. The 200-day grain-fed roasted beef sirloin rules the mains while the Grilled Dorper lamb chops in mint sauce is unexpectedly tender.
Remember to save some stomach estate for desserts. The ever-reliable Sticky date pudding and Apple crumble appears. Boasting candied toffee sauce and cool vanilla ice-cream, the former definitely delight after a savoury meal. Furthermore, the latter's tart flavour profile provides a great palate cleanser.
Here's a toast (or two)
It's not Christmas without any booze too. Fusing sweet treats with festive liquor, seasonally-inspired cocktails such as the Winta Colada—a decadent concoction of vodka, pineapple, lime with coconut meringue—along with a selection of festive punch bowls like the easy-drinking Spiced Pear Spritz with vodka, baked apple & pear, vanilla, Sichuan and prosecco or the more traditional Unusual Eggnogg with gin, milk & honey, egg and allspice provide merry festivities in a brew.

Oxwell & Clan also delivers festive boxes to diners’ through Boxwell & Co, its roast delivery service. Those who wish to have a private celebration at home can just call ahead to order a desired family-style dinner.
The Oxwell & Clan Roast & Toast set menu starts at SGD98++ per person and includes all the elements of a traditional Oxwell & Co roast. The Oxwell Classics menu offers a la carte signature roast dishes. Both will be available seven days a week.
