Another scent, another chapter in the ongoing saga of Penhaligon's Portraits series. Each character—from the Ingénue Cousin Flora to the Terrible Teddy—are another sliver in Penhaligon's ever-expanding fragrance range.
The latest addition is the Prince of Perfumers, the Inimitable Mr Penhaligon. While we've no clue as to why Mr Penhaligon is fitted with a ram's head, it is modelled after the founder of the Penhaligon's brand. The Inimitable Mr Penhaligon is a bold woody scent that stands out without being overpowering.
Made with vetiver, the perfumery's master ingredients, the fragrance is an earthy embrace. You're greeted with top notes of bergamot and jasmine that reveals a heart of vetiver, incense and cedar wood and finally, the lingering sweet base notes of sandalwood and ambrox.
The Inimitable Mr Penhaligon (75ml) retails for SGD420 and is available at all Penhaligon's outlets.
