Last we left Rick and Morty, the fate of the show hangs in limbo with Dan Harmon, one of the co-creators, tweeting that they had not written a new season because Adult Swim (the show's network) had not ordered any new episodes.
Then a deal was brokered and Adult Swim ordered 70 more episodes. Hooray, right? But we had to wait for the next season to be written, voiced and animated. The finale for the last season ended in October 2017 and it was announced that the next season will return on November 2019, then rescheduled for November.
Then the latest trailer for Rick and Morty season four dropped.
Good news: we finally get a specific date of the release. Bad news: only five of its original 10 episodes will be released this year because Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon are sadists or just busy, I guess… but you know what, we'll take what we can get.
We don't know much about season four but from the looks of the trailer, we can expect a plethora of Mr Meeseeks; Rick taking a cue from Doctor Strange; Mr Poopypants kicks ass; Morty keeps bringing up that he's dying; Rick needs to hunt down a mutated Morty and Morty's adventure card gets filled up.
Rick and Morty season four returns November 10, 2019. Wubba Lubba Dub Dub.
