Since their foray into the Southeast Asian market earlier in the year, the award-winning British sound system label, Ruark Audio adds another device to its sterling line up: the R1 MK4.
Constructed with the idea of small spaces—an oft common problem given an ever-expanding population—the R1 MK4 belies a dynamic sound system within its 1.5kg frame. Encased in an "acoustically inert housing", the audio system is the fourth generation of the R1 range that comes with the brand's patented NaturalSound+ driver. The precision-moulded polymer contour is finished with a Light Cream or an Espresso lacquer and is further complemented with a hand-crafted slatted wood grille to give it that a sophisticated and timeless air.
With an OLED display that showcases the time, alarm, and programme information, it also automatically adjusts its brightness to suit ambient light levels. Other than the intuitive Rotodial control system, a Bluetooth receiver is built into the R1 MK4 so you can wirelessly stream from your phone or computer.
Ruark Audio’s R1 MK4 retails for SGD499 and will be available from the end of November at Musica at Ion, Challenger at Bugis and IStudio at Great World City. It will also be available online at Krishop, Lazada and Shopee.
