With the removal of VTL flights, the long-awaited return of pre-COVID-19 travelling inches closer with a renewed vigour. The final puzzle pieces of normalcy are fitting back into the picture, and it seems our two-year cabin fever can finally break, albeit with calculated caution.
Yet not all our travel companions stood in good stead during this period of uncertainty. Some passports were misplaced or retired, while foreign currencies collect dust in envelopes or wallets brought abroad for your last overseas vacation. Luggages that were once seasoned by years of travel have instead grown weary from underuse; they may look as sturdy as when you used them two years ago, but taking these carriers on a test spin could reveal faulty wheels, rusty handle bars and even disintegrating fabrics—literally unfit for travel.
The announcement of Samsonite's annual luggage trade-in deal thus comes at no better time. Until April 30, you can trade-in any brand or sized pre-loved luggage at all Samsonite stores, retailers or on e-commerce platforms to get up to 40% off two of their most well-loved and expertly crafted silhouettes: the ENOW and ASPERO.
The ENOW is sleek and detailed, its characteristic vertical ridge texture mapping multi-size symmetrical ridges that keep it scratch-resistant. It incorporates Samsonite’s trademarked Aero-Trac suspension wheel system, and is a no-frills classic in both colour options Black and Latte, an ash grey. The ASPERO on the other hand is a high-volume luggage that boasts super strength while being super light weight, weighing in at only 2.2kg for the smallest model, and just 3.3kg for the largest. It's metallic sheen sports the colours red, silver and black, and comes with an integrated TSA combination lock and smooth-rolling double wheels. Both models are available in three different sizes.
Samsonite also collaborates with the world’s leading conservation organisation World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF) again to donate S$10 to WWF Singapore with every trade-in purchase made. The funds go towards the No Plastic in Nature Initiative (PACT), which enables companies to make science-based decisions for responsible production and consumption through guidance and best practices, all to reduce waste and move towards a circular economy. This echoes the global brand's pledge to embrace sustainability—from how Samsonite products are made to how they endure; how the company plays its part in reducing its impact on the planet and how it ensures that its people, partners and communities engage in and benefit from this progress.
The promotion is applicable at all Samsonite outlets, department stores and e-commerce platforms in Singapore, and runs till April 30, 2022, while stocks last.
