Cocktail lovers, clear your schedule from 4 to 13 May 2018 as Singapore Cocktail Festival is back for their sophomore installation. Liquor loyalists will be thrilled with the booze-centric activities planned for #SGCF2018.
Singapore Cocktail Festival 2018 flagship event, the Festival Village, conveniently located at Empress Lawn, the heart of the Civic District, which is in perfect view of Singapore’s key landmarks like The Esplanade. Running through the weekend of 4 to 6 May 2018, the Festival Village gathers many renowned bartenders and mixologists from the Asia’s and World’s 50 Best Bars list, like Bob Louison from Pussyfoot Saloon (Seoul, South Korea), Brian Lu from Woo Taipei (Taipei, Taiwan), and Elliot Ball from The Cocktail Trading Co. (London, United Kingdom).
In continuation of last year's theme of “Taste, Learn and Play”, Singapore Cocktail Festival 2018 will bring back favourites such as the Artisanal Spirits Tasting Room, which features handcrafted small-batch spirits (try the creamy Black Cow Vodka) for festival goers to sample and meet the distillers.
Action buffs will want to reserve a seat and experience the skillful exchange between Asian bartending stalwarts at the Asia Bar Battle Presented by City Nomads. Representatives from Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, will vie for a win over cocktail inventions and mystery ingredient challenges.
A festival will never reach its climax without music and food. Dispel your hunger pangs with delectable bites prepared by restaurants like such as Ninja Bowl and Ninja Cut—culinary concepts by The Astronauts Group where both outlets focus on fuss-free unique grain bowls—and the Italian-focused Sinfonia Ristorante. With your tipple and grub in hand, all you're left to do is to boogie to the curated groovy tunes of DJs Brendon P (from CÉ LA VI ), Ramesh K, who earned his reputation as one of the most respected eclectic DJs in Singapore, and Kenneth F.
Experiencing withdrawal symptoms after the high at Empress Lawn? Festival-goers can purchase a Cocktail Passport to enjoy specials deals across acclaimed cocktail bars and restaurants in Singapore—28HKS, Anti:Dote, Mitzo Restaurant & Bar, Neon Pigeon, Nutmeg & Clove, and Operation Dagger. Nothing but the best.
Active bar hoppers are not left out too. For two dates, 9 and 12 May 2018, cocktail enthusiasts will go on a Bar Tour and visit four world-class bar pit-stops which include Monte Carlo Boys and The Horse’s Mouth among others. So secure this rare opportunity to get up close and personal with the bartenders and their festival featured cocktails.
