After breaking the Internet in 2021 when it dropped the limited edition Connected Super Mario, TAG Heuer is now back with two new collectible timepieces also featuring the moustachioed hero. Careening into the TAG Heuer Formula 1 collection with his famous Mario Kart, he shares in the watch’s bold spirit and zest for adrenaline, speed, and competition.
In the TAG Heuer Formula 1 X Mario Kart Limited Edition Chronograph, he pulls up into the chronograph sub-dial at nine o’clock highlighted in red. The portly hero and his ride are both fashioned in brightly coloured lacquer, as are the extra surprises in the date window, where you’ll find Mario Kart characters like Bullet Bill, Super Star, the Banana, and more appearing in lieu of the date.

There is also the Mario Kart logo on the black polished ceramic bezel, engraved and filled with white SuperLuminova, and a red lacquer M on the crown. Other features you’ll love about this 44mm stainless steel timepiece are the checkered dial and black textured calfskin strap with red stiching and lining.

The TAG Heuer Formula 1 X Mario Kart Limited Edition Chronograph is a 3,000 piece limited edition priced at S$6,050.
Next, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 X Mario Kart Limited Edition Chronograph Tourbillon takes Super Mario literally to new heights. Who would have guessed that our favourite video game hero will one day appear on a flying tourbillon carriage? Here, unlike with the chronograph model, Mario is constantly on the move, chasing Spiny Shell and Bullet Bill in a perpetual loop.

The skeletonised black dial bears red constrasting lines to emphasise on the watch’s competitive spirit, while the Mario Kart logo and red lacquer M are also applied to the bezel and crown respectively.

This 45mm model in high performance titanium is limited to just 250 pieces, priced at S$36,100, and is also delivered on a textured black calfskin strap with red stitching and lining. TAG Heuer’s COSC-certified Calibre Heuer 02T movement can be seen on front and back – don’t miss the red lacquered chronograph column wheel.

Available from 20 October 2022, these watches will be sold exclusively in TAG Heuer boutiques and its e-commerce website in selected countries. The chronograph model will also be available through selected retail partners.
