A lot has been happening at Burberry lately. The British heritage brand's longtime chief creative officer Christopher Bailey stepped down early this year, and has been succeeded by Riccardo Tisci. It's previous non-seasonal runway shows have also been replaced with a more traditional approach—Bailey's last collection that was shown in February will actually be the brand's autumn/winter 2018 collection, in tandem with majority of fashion brands. But with the many changes, a new Burberry icon has emerged: the Belt Bag.

First seen on the runway in February, the Belt Bag—available in small, medium and large sizes—is characterised by its, well, belted appearance. If the belt seems oddly familiar, that's because the design is inspired by the belt found on any one of Burberry's signature trench coats. Additional belts for the Belt Bag are sold separately and allows you to personalise your very own Belt Bag by creating different colour combinations. Who doesn't love options, right?
Hang on, there's more. Burberry is set to launch a Burberry Conservatory in Singapore to showcase its star of the season. As part of a series of spaces dedicated to the Belt Bag, the Burberry Conservatory is inspired by glasshouses typical of Britain in the 19th century and will continue to travel the world after stopping in Dubai and now, Singapore. What is sure to be an impressive space, the Burberry Conservatory will also feature additional limited edition Belt Bag designs exclusively at the pop-up.
A total of 17 limited edition bags will be made available in an array of colours and motifs, in small and medium sizes. Out of the 17, four of them are in solid colours with a rainbow belt each; a nod to the LGBT-inspired collection designed by Bailey. The other 13 Belt Bag designs are embroidered with Burberry's equestrian knight motif in both solid colours as well as a rainbow iteration. To tie the experience all together and for further touches of personalisation, additional exclusive belts are available for purchase and Belt Bags can also be monogrammed right at the Burberry Conservatory. Get the medium Belt Bag, have it monogrammed, and you have your very own piece of Burberry history.
The Burberry Conservatory will be located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands (2 Bayfront Avenue, #B2-75–78, Singapore 018972) from 21 June – 8 July 2018.
