We may not really be strangers, but we're certainly not really surprised that Maison Valentino has collaborated with the introspective, Instagram hit card game (3.1m followers). Not to draw comparisons, but we've had Supreme on a whole bunch of things—from a BMX dirt bike to a pinball machine—alongside a whole slew of fashion collaborations, so this seems to kick off the year about right.
With 25 cards reflecting the shared values of both brands; that is empathy, individuality and positivity, the special collaboration designs don the V Logo Signature. This is the latest of founder Koreen Odiney's collection, which has seen a Breakup edition, a digital Race and Privilege Expansion Pack and a couple other related merch.
WNRS effectively balances the line between insightful and eyeroll-worthy, but its greatest value is arguably in its purpose as a multiplayer game and facilitation of conversation whether it is between friends, family, or obviously, strangers. If you're into self-exploration, or just need an ice-breaker for the upcoming festivities, it may not a bad way to start.
